Urschel Laboratories, Inc was founded in 1910 by William E. Urschel in Valparaiso,Indiana, USA. With his invention of the Gooseberry Snipper.The Machine was designed to remove the stem and blossom ends from the berry, which had previously been done by hand and was very labor intensive. William’S love of inventing was carried on by his three sons, Joe, Gerald, and Kenneth. Each contributed greatly to the ongoing success of the company. Today Urschel Laboratories, Inc, remains familytions of the Urschel family.
Since its founding, the company has continued to design and manufacture many other types of equipment including slices, dicers, strip cutter, shredders, and communitors. Company growth has extended to worldwide sales and service to over 100 countries. The Company has retained the name “Urschel Laboratories” to signify the continued task of maintaining proper design and innovative manufacturing technologies to stay in-tune with customer’s changing needs. |
