German Industry and Commerce (Taicang) Co. Ltd. Shanghai Branch (揋IC?, Department for Purchasing and Supply Management, has a vacant position for a
Research Assistant
which shall be occupied as soon as possible.
The position is integrated with Supply Management Institute which is one of the leading research and training institutes in the field of purchasing and supply management in the world. For highly skilled candidates there will also be an opportunity to qualify to a three-year PhD program at the BMW-SMI Endowed chair for Purchasing and Supply Management at Tongji University.
Applicants should possess basic knowledge in relevant area such as purchasing and supply management, supply chain management, logistics and international business. Knowledge in sociological research, empirical research methods and statistic analysis is also desired. Applicants should be able to speak and to write English fluently. Ability to speak Chinese and German is also desirable, is however not a prerequisite. Since the research will be carried out in an international environment, applicants with extensive professional and/or educational experience from abroad are especially encouraged to apply.
