Basic Function / General Description: To manage and periodically audit a group of suppliers to ensure consistency in quality and delivery to meet customers’ requirements.
Duties, Responsibilities & Authorities: 1.Support and assist the respective Contract Manager in his daily interaction activities with the suppliers. 2.Responsible for components in the subsystem numbers: 04, 07, 08, 09, 12, 13 & 14 (Hydraulic Aggregates, Car Frame, hoistway material, Machine, CWT, Governor & ropes)3.Responsible for maintaining partnership relationship with suppliers. 4.Responsible for all activities in buying, selling, and distributing materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies. 5.Responsible for checking vendors’ activity in compliance with global contracts and agreements. 6.Support Contract Manager in all suppliers development activities. 7.Implement the Supply Quality Manual (SQM) requirements. 8.Conducts periodic Q-plus and special audits of vendor’s facilities & manufacturing processes with cross-functional Support Managers to determine adequacy and capability of quality control and ability to comply with specification. 9.Makes cost breakdown and benchmarking studies for analysis. 10.Conduct cost reduction and value-engineering activities with vendor group. 11.Support Engineering in new products development and qualification processes. 12.Provides training support for vendors whenever is appropriate.
Accountability & measures: 1.Job performance will be measured in accordance with vendors’ performance in quality and ability to serve the customers with defects free components. 2.Job performance will also be measured in accordance with vendors’ ability to improve their performance in terms of productivity and cost reduction activities
Work experience & skills requirements: 1.Must be proficient in spoken English & written Chinese languages. 2.Must be able to read Engineering drawing and interpret its requirement. 3.Computer literate.
Educational Requirements:Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
