Candidate Responsibilities
1.Estimating, simulating and testing the thermal performance of LED lamp and t
heir corresponding thermal solutions.
2.Design, develop and validate new thermal capabilities and communicate electr
onics, optical and mechanical requirements.
3.Measuring and validating thermal estimates and simulations
4.Developing and automating new thermal measurement capabilities
5.Heat analysis by modeling (FEM) and experimental, from LED junction to ambie
nt
6.Giving and release solution for heat management in the SSL (LED Lighting) sy
stems.
7.Generating creative ideas and realizing sufficient input for breakthroughs w
ithin Philips

Candidate Profile
1.PhD (preferable) or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Thermal Engineering
2.Strong design engineering skills with proficiency in Thermal tools (Ansys，F
LUENT, Flotherm CFD analysis tools, FEA tools and structural analysis techniqu
es,) ‘
3.Interest in scientific work with immediate relevance for products (prior exp
erience preferred)
4.Highly motivated and results oriented
5.Ambition and enthusiasm
6.Desire and ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
7.Fluent in English (written and spoken)
