HP continues building our leadership position in digital photography. The digital camera market is a fast growing, highly competitive product category that requires breakthrough levels of value and differentiation each year. Having established a solid position in the market, we are strengthening our ability to invent and deploy these inventions across the product line. This activity includes new imaging technologies as well as design implementations. While doing a majority of core design work within HP, we work closely with world leading suppliers to refine and manufacture products at the lowest possible cost. The overall goal is to delight customers with uniquely featured cameras that capture great pictures and deliver the best digital photography print/share/store experience with other HP solutions.
Qualifications
Job Description
Design, develop and verify camera electrical systems with ODM and OEM suppliers. This may include: ASIC (CPU/DSP) subsystems, I/O interfaces, power systems, analog circuits including sensor control, lens control, LCD, strobe, audio, and video. Tasks include circuit design, simulation, schematic capture, parts placement within mechanical tolerance, layout, turn-on, and verification of circuits. Create verification tools including specific FW as needed.
Work with ODM and OEM suppliers to deliver designs that meet all performance, regulatory, quality, and high volume production requirements.
Contribute to the larger EE Lab to establish, refine, and share design and verification best practices.
Minimum requirements
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- Digital and analog system development experience.
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills
- Ability to work internationally, including up to 25% international travel.
- Skilled at working tight schedules juggling multiple projects at a time.
- Commitment and self-motivation.
- Fluency in English and local language

- Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
- Experience developing embedded FW.
- Experience with ASIC development, integration technologies, and miniaturization technologies
