The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), founded in 1871, is an innovative international organization with a worldwide membership of about 150,000 engineers. We are looking for three staffs in its extended Beijing office.

1. Chief Representative

Job Summary:

To increase IET market presence in China by growing membership numbers, running events and expanding its publishing business to raise the profile of the IET among relevant communities.

Essential Critical:

·To have had a successful career in an outward facing role in electrical/electronics sector or professional body.
·To be an Engineer with experience at Senior Engineering level, preferably from the electrical or electronic environment.
·To be an adept influencer and communicator.
·Experience in people and office management
·To have strategic insight.
·To be fluent in English and Mandarin.
·Willing to travel.
·Experience of working in an international environment.
·Speaking Cantonese is desirable.

2, Office Administrator

Job Summary:

Supporting and assisting all aspects of the office operation in IET Beijing Office,
acting as the first contact point for all enquiries and provide administrative support
to the China branch activities.

Essential Criteria:

·University degree in engineering, marketing or international business.
·Fluent in writing, listening, speaking and reading both Chinese and English.
·Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
·At least 3 years office administration experience in the office environment with international organisations in China.
·Experiences in using office computer system and relevant office software.
·Self motivated and willing to work flexible hours when required.

3．Sales and Marketing Executive – Publishing
Inspec Database (ww***org[点击查看]) is the world’s most comprehensive Bibliographic Database in the fields of Physic and Engineering. There are large number of Inspec customers in China, mainly are universities, government research organizations.

IET Digital Library (ww***org[点击查看]) is another product offered by the IET – a full text database including all primary publications covering the engineering and technology fields.

Job summary:

This role is to be responsible for the sales and Marketing activities in China for the Inspec database and IET Digital Library. Provide training sessions with current customers, seeking out upsell opportunities with current customers, and prospecting new business throughout China.
Essential Criteria

·Have the ability to work independently
·Ability to speak and write both English and Chinese(Mandarin)
·3 years sales and/or training experience.
·Exceptional communication, presentation, written and negotiation skills
·Flexibility and ability to travel as needed
·Proficiency in Microsoft Office
§Knowledge of the information/publishing industry
