职位描述/要求:

DeciSci has a number of software engineering projects that would suit someone with a software engineering/computer science background.
Available project topics include:
· Agent-Based Models and Gaming Simulations
· Ontologies and Agents
· Enterprise Grid Computing
· Service Oriented Architecture and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)
· GIS, Spatial Models and Simulations
· Sensor Networks
Duties may include:
· Installing necessary infrastructure
· Software/systems analysis and design
· Data and database management
· Programming, especially in Java
· Deployment and testing
· Technical documentation
The following skills are desirable:
· Study in software engineering or computer science
· Java programming
· Database management an advantage
· Unix or Linux an advantage
· Fluency in written English and a good command of conversational English
· Ability and interest to learn quickly technical material
· Ability to work on their own with minimal direction
· Ability to deliver to their best ability on time and with quality

DeciSci is a hi-tech WFOE (Australian-owned enterprise) locate in Shanghai. DeciSci has its genesis in the Australian based companies principally Tjurunga Pty Ltd as well as Decisioneering Pty Ltd. Tjurunga and Decisioneering have established a good reputation for applying state-of-art ICT thinking and technologies involving complexity sciences, integration and distributed computation to a range of project both in Australia and internationally, as well as applying current thinking in complexity/integration sciences. It is the way of thinking about how to understand, analyze and model complex situations that is important and that allows us to apply ourselves across a range of applications. Areas that DeciSci is initially focusing on are:

- Software solutions for problems arising from the application of complexity and integration sciences;
- Enhancements to experimental economics platforms;
- Environmental sensor webs and observation grids, and eScience solutions; and
- Cross-domain semantic integration.

DeciSci works closely with its consulting partner in the area of complexity sciences – Tjurunga (ww***com[点击查看]) and Decisioneering in delivering software solutions.


OUR TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES

DeciSci is aiming to build up its capabilities in technically-oriented software development and computer science, as well as the requisite mathematical and domain expertise to enable innovative and well-founded solutions to complex problems. It uses best practice software/systems engineering practices in delivering solutions, and prides itself with the intellectual rigor it applies to all the activities it undertakes. DeciSci has skills ranging from systems architecture to applied mathematics.

 


DeciSci also can provide a number of advanced off-the-shelf products that can improve science, management and industrial processes. Examples of these advanced products include:

· Enterprise grid technology that allows the deployment of computing grids involving in-house PCs which could work by themselves or integrate with high performance clusters such as that available at the Shanghai Supercomputer Center.
· Portfolio management, including for pharmaceutical companies;
· Formulation optimization of products such as cosmetics, detergents, food, etc;
· Supply chain optimization; and
· Optimization of industrial processes.


CLIENTELE & RECENT ENGAGEMENTS

DeciSci’s initial engagements will be including the following:

· A Biosecurity project that is trying to understand and manage the outbreak of major diseases that could be introduced by bioterrorism.

· Integrated modeling of biophysical and socioeconomic aspects for a World Bank strategic science project on the sustainability of the World’s coral reefs.

· Application development outsourcing from Tjurunga in:
o Multiagent simulation of financial markets;
o Enhancing an experimental economics platform; and
o Spatially-based multiagent simulation of pedestrian movements in precincts;

· International standards for sensor webs, as technical supporter for Decisioneering for the South Korean SWRRC (Surface Water Resource Research Center); and

· Partnering with Fudan University in modelling of Shanghai’s new deep water port; and


TECHNICAL EXPERTISE/ALLIANCES

The Chief Technical Officer of DeciSci is Bohdan Durnota, who brings with him solid commercial IT development experience and applied modelling. He is a former academic at Monash University. He retains an association with the University of Melbourne as a visiting researcher in the Grid

Computing Laboratory, and assists with a new ARC Research Network in Intelligent Sensors and Sensor Networks.

DeciSci has a strategic partnership with the Network Dynamics groups at the Virginia Bioinformatics Institute in the USA, where we are collaborating in the application of complex networks and other areas of complex systems sciences. In addition, we have a business partner at the University College London involved in a large systems biology project involving metabolic pathways, grid-enabled computational biology, and other areas.
