We are a Chinese affiliate of a well-known and highly respected US-based hedge fund with over US$9 billion in assets under management. Currently we have job openings for part-time and full-time programmers.

A candidate for this position should expect to spend most of his or her time writing computer programs in connection with financial markets research. Programming expertise will be required for data management/analysis, model implementation, simulation, etc.. Additionally, this position will also require some system administration expertise.

Candidates for this position must:
 Be smart and dedicated.
 Have a strong background in computer science and mathematics
 Be proficient in programming in C/C++. Fluency in Perl, Python and shell scripts is a highly desirable
 Background and experience in system administration for UNIX environment, esp. for Linux is a strong plus.
 Some knowledge of financial markets is helpful, but not essential.

We prefer candidates who will be able to work with us for the long term in both the part-time and full-time positions. The part-time position requires at least a 20-hour per week time commitment.
