Position Title: Region Product Manager [Digital Cinema]

This position is to provide expert engineering and technical support to the sales and account management teams for the application of all Digital Cinema products as well as demo support and pre-sales customer service on an “as needed” basis.

- The Regional Product Manager DC in China is part of our Product Management team, but focusses on the local market and product needs.
- He/she will be assigned to support the applications engineering needs for customers in the China market and will report direct to the MED organization in China and via a dotted line to the Product Manager DC in the MED headquarter in Kuurne, Belgium.
- The duties of the new regional product manager DC in China will include:
o Supporting the Projection Products in both the Digital Cinema business unit, he/she will assist in the development and testing of technical products (e.g., Barco-brand projection products including DLP technology, and related software);
o Testing and inspecting such products to eliminate production problems
o Determining local customer feedback/needs (e.g., product specifications, performance deficiencies, and required engineering changes), coordinating same with the Product Manager DC in Belgium and Barco engineers, and developing product concepts (to be designed by Barco engineers) to solve customer problems and to meet customer specifications; researching custom engineered projects
o Assisting in preparation of concept drawings and sketches and layouts
o Reviewing test results in relation to design or specifications; coordinating application engineering solution projects from concept to engineering/design to installation to customer acceptance for Barco projection product range
o Ensuring that product designs prepared by Barco and test results for product applications perform in compliance with customer specifications
o Providing customer training regarding product design and technical aspects of product performance; determine technical/engineering needs at customer sites and create technical/service documentation as necessary
o Providing technical support for application engineering.
o He/she will regularly interact with customers to resolve complex technical problems. These duties are performed in support of Barco engineers and the Product Manager DC in Belgium, who prepare specifically engineered products for customer specifications to solve customer problems.

REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge - education : University degree in electronic engineering
- languages : Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin
Skills : Effective presentation and communication skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills

Profile : Sound judgment and common sense with a combination of high energy and high degree of integrity.
Capable of hands-on bottom-line responsibilities
Ability to provide high level of pre sales support
Experience : At least 3 years Product Management experience at multi-national organizations.
Experience in comprehensive database management.
