Job Description for Research Engineers

As a result of getting a major industrial research grant, we are currently hiring several research scientist positions to join our research institute. These are contract positions and a two-year contract will be signed with the incoming employees.  Performing well in this job will result in (1) sharing of bonus money of RMB 500,000; (2) inclusion as co-inventor in patents filed for inventions coming out of this industrial project.

The mission of this research project is to develop water-dispersible polyurethanes to serve as a shape-memory material.  Taking advantage of receiving an instruments grant, we have recently purchased 5 new equipments, namely DSC, TGA, DMA, GPC, and FT-IR (with near-IR; mid-IR; and far-IR capabilities).

Our research institute will be moving within two months to a new campus of Jiao Tong University/st1:PlaceType> located in the Min Hang District of Shanghai.  Our group will occupy part of a new building, moving into clean rooms and laboratori style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal">ies in our new campus.
