Job Description
Linux Software Engineers play lead roles in a multi-discipline team working on new products and solutions. You'll be a part of an exciting team that designs, implements, tests, and validates Linux software for networks, systems, applications, as well as middleware. In this position, you will be highly involved in qualification testing for hardware, Linux distributions, open source middleware and applications. Also you will need to engage, possibly, in a totally unfamiliar OSS project.
Additionally, as a part of the multi-discipline team, you may be assigned to help team members who have various R&D responsibilities on a need basis. Your flexibility is required. We are looking for staffs who are self-motivated, self-guided, high-quality and enthusiastic about open source software development and its movement.
Qualification
Education:
Master's (graduate) candidates (e.g. computer science, information technology, engineering, math, physics, etc.)
Knowledge required (MUST):
. Knowledge on C/C++, Java and scripting languages
. Knowledge on Software engineering and Quality Assurance
. Knowledge on software testing
. Knowledge on Linux and open source software
. Fluent both in written English and in spoken English
Knowledge (Would-like-to-have):
. Knowledge hardware system including server, storage system and I/O subsystem
. Knowledge of automated test tools
Soft skills:
. Integrity and responsible
. Fast learning
. Creative
