Major responsibilities:To provide an efficient, professional and proactive customer
-focused response to telephone
-based requests for travel/medical assistance within China and abroad, and to coordinate all aspects of assistance & claims handling in a cost effective and thoughtful way in line with company procedures.
1.Handle all incoming and outgoing calls for travel/medical assistance in a prompt and courteous manner in line with company standards
2.Assist clients as necessary by taking actions to provide high level services in accordance to their needs and within the entitlements of their travel insurance policy
3.Perform telephone
-based medical assessments of clients medical conditions, liaise with the Chief Medical Officer regarding the appropriate level of care, and recommend appropriate medical facilities for treatment in a timely fashion
4.Consult with treating doctors and follow up with medical personnel and facilities involved with the care of the companies clients, and liaise with the Chief Medical Officer regarding the quality of care given, prognosis, and the discharge and travel needs of the patient
5.Determine and implement schedules for follow
-up medical assessments through medical contacts with the Treating Medical Officer, the client, relatives and/or companions
6.Evaluate the need for medical evacuation and/or repatriation, and liaise with the Chief Medical Officer for coordinating the necessary arrangements
7.Review customers policy entitlements, and liaise with the Claims Manager and third party insurance companies to obtain approval for incurring costs to cover medical treatment and travel expenses as required
8.Document conversations, actions, and correspondence into a computer
-based assistance system to ensure the clients (and management) are updated accurately and timely on the progress
9.Maintain a confidential relationship between health care professionals and clients in accordance with the applicable local privacy legislation
10.Other duties and projects as assigned
