Network Engineer

JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will provide network-centric engineering solutions supporting the BDN and R+ development environments and the St. Louis Lab in general.

Duties will include:

Developer network support (firewall, VPN)
Network design to support development and infrastructure needs
Network platform research and development
Providing technical documentation of designed systems and solutions

JOB SPECIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum of 3 years network engineering/design experience in an enterprise environment
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills
• Advanced to expert knowledge of Cisco IOS, enterprise routing and switching families
• Experience with Cisco CSS load-balancing equipment desirable
• Expert understanding of TCP/IP networking and LAN/WAN communications
• Advanced knowledge of one or more protocol analyzers (e.g., Ethereal, SnifferPro)
• Advanced hands-on experience with WAN networks, including Frame-Relay based networks a and advanced knowledge of telecommunications delivery mediums (e.g., T1, T3 to OC-level comms
• Experience with multicast networking desirable
• Advanced hands-on experience creating/maintaining/troubleshooting LANs, VLAN-Related issues HSRP, 802.1q, Ethernet/Gig-Ethernet, NAT, etc.
• Experience designing and maintaining Firewall and VPN solutions
• Experience working in the financial data industry a plus




Systems Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION – DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will provide Windows-centric engineering solutions supporting the BDN and R+ development environments and the St. Louis Lab in general.

Duties will include:

Developer workstation/server support in a VMWare environment
Systems design to support development and infrastructure needs
Windows-based platform research and development
Providing technical documentation of designed systems and solutions

JOB SPECIFICATIONS – REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years experience as a Windows systems engineer or designer in an enterprise environment
• Excellent written and spoken English language skills
• Expert-level understanding of MS Windows 2000 server, 2003 and associated software
• Experience with HP enterprise-class hardware (dl360/380/585, etc)
• Experience with SAN design and usage (Prefer EMC)
• Windows Terminal server and/or Citrix experience
• Active Directory administrative experience
• VMWare ESX administrative experience
• Has created, maintained and deployed Windows “standard build” images
• Advanced knowledge of Windows-based hardware platforms (e.g., IBM, HP, Dell)
• Thorough understanding of the following knowledge areas:
• RAID storage
• TCP/IP networking
• Able to work in a challenging, fast-paced environment with little daily supervision
• Experience in a market-data environment a plus!
