Job Summary and Mission This job contributes to XXX success by executing tactical purchasing plans in global manufacturing, distribution channels, markets and business units. Models and acts in accordance with XXX guiding principles. Summary of Key Responsibilities Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Executes procurement processes and foundational procurement systems that improve service, efficiency, and quality and reduce costs.
- Identifies supply and supplier issues. Analyzes information to assess root cause, improvement opportunities and associated risk. Recommends and implements solutions to resolve issues.
- Implements procurement strategies including sourcing, commodity management, negotiation, contracting, inventory control and cost analysis within the framework of XXX company and social responsibility values. Maintains strong relationships with suppliers to support business requirements.
- Measures business process effectiveness and supplier performance using established tools. Collects, tracks, summarizes measurement data and creates reports.
- Participates in developing requests for proposal, bid analysis, contract negotiations and blanket purchase orders.
- Participates in project planning that defines scope, schedule, budget, business impact and risks. Executes plans and identifies issues or obstacles and recommends solutions.
- Provides technical or product expertise to suppliers and internal customers regarding goods or services. Summary of Experience
