Our worldwide company is seeking bright and ambitious candidates to help them to serve their Chinese Customers.Specific responsibilities would depend on the skills, experience, and capabilities you, as an individual, bring to our organization; and may include:Find and select supplier in the following sectors: machining, welding, foundry and industrial component.Prepare request for quotes.Write clear purchase orders and other contracts with vendors.Negotiate pricing and quality requirements.Follow
-up with past due and/or critical orders.Develop alternative vendors as required.Act as member of International Procurement team and provide input as needed.Develop best practices of procuring spare parts with other GL&V entities.Provide interface between business systems.Maintain open and vigorous communication with other GL&V entities providing forecasts and discussing pricing, quality and delivery issues.Help maintain vendor database, prices and item master.Credential Preferences or Requirements:Positions are available for professionals with various levels of experience and looking to advance a career. We seek candidates that have experience and interest in some or all of the functional areas as referenced above.Experience and/or educational background in one or several of these functional areas is valuable: procuring equipment for industrial processes that requires expertise in machining, welding and mechanical componentsDegree in Mechanical Engineering is valued.Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints is mandatory.Ability to negotiate is very valued.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in a variety of situations.Must be able to work independently.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.English verbal and written skills required.Please do not respond, if you do not have the appropriate background/experience and interests.
