1. Prepares basic engineering calculations following standard methods and principles used in similar engineering analyses.
2. Performs basic equipment selection research and develops recommendations with supportive materials.
3. Checks manufacturers drawings, logic diagrams, piping & instrument diagram drawings, and other B&V prepared drawings.
4. Develops familiarity with departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes and B&V policies.
5. Maintains engineering records and lists as required
6. Prepares basic design sketches, pipe layouts, pipe routes, and hanger details for drafting and incorporation into final plans.Education, experience, skills and knowledge requirements:
1. Bachelors degree in thermal power
2. No experience required
3. Thorough understanding of static
4. Good grasp on mechanics of materials, mainly beam theory
5. Analytical skills
6. Initiative
7. Attention to detail
8. Interpersonal skills
9. Mathematical skills
10. Problem solving skills1
1. Ability to cope with moderate levels of stress1
2. Computer skills (good PC familiarity)1
3. English Skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing)
