Service Engineer China


Overview

Responsible for the day to day running of the Customer Service Department China and performing repair and calibration of Datapaq equipment. The position will closely work with the customer service team in UK following the job instructions and procedures and will closely work and communicate with China sales persons to enhance the customer satisfaction of the after sales services.

Main Tasks
• Service and Repair:
Test and fault finding of Datapaq products returned for service
Repair of Datapaq electronics assemblies
Repair of Datapaq thermal barriers
Calibration of Datapaq loggers
Calibration or re calibration and issue of certificates
• Administration:
Completion of service documentation as required including job sheets, quotations, shipping documentation and invoicing
Control of loan stock
• Customer Support:
Provide telephone support to customers and agents as required for both hardware and software
Provide on site support to customers as required
• On Sales support:
Gain value from customer contact by selling spares, accessories and replacements
• Head Office Contact:
Report customer complaints and issues directly to the Customer Service Manager
Produce reports and statistics in line with company quality systems
• Office and Equipment:
Maintain all equipment and working environment in good order

Person Specification

• Electronics Qualification
• The ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing
• Preferably experience in a ‘hands-on’ electronics role
• Some experience in a customer service role would be an advantage
• Understanding of calibration requirements and instrumentation
• Customer focus and good communication skills.
• Excellent administration skills
• A good level of computer literacy specifically in Microsoft Office applications
