The OpportunityAn opportunity has arisen to join a newly established Shanghai Representative Office of an international supply chain manager. Reporting directly to the Shanghai based Managing Director, the Product Researcher will accept certain responsibilities for the successful growth of the China Office. Key functions will include but not be limited to:Understanding European sourcing requirements and then researching what may be available in China.Explaining and discussing requirements to Chinese manufacturers.Negotiating with Chinese based manufacturersWorking with international export authorities to ship materials to Europe.Sourcing and procurement of construction materials as defined by European offices.Overseeing the highest possible standards of product delivery and reporting.The CandidateThe suitable candidate will have a track record in international sourcing. The industry where all products will be sourced for is the construction industry, therefore knowledge of Construction procurement would be an advantage. A good team player that is highly organised, excellent attention to detail will need to be demonstrated and the successful candidate will be able to take on a broad range of responsibilities.MS Office IT skills and a good command of spoken and written English is required for this position.The RewardsCompensation will be closely related to the performance of the individual and the company. A basic salary will be negotiable.
