KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Provide technical support to commercialization of corn hybrids in North/Northeast of China
• Recommend best fit of corn hybrids to market segments
• Conduct field trials to generate product FAB data to sales, market development and marketing teams
• Conduct technical training to in-house sales, market development and marketing team.
• Conduct technical training to outside customers
• Handle hybrid performance complaints from customers
2. Extensive corn hybrid test in Shandong/Northeast.
• Conduct corn tests particular in Shandong Province and Northeast.
- Field plot selection and cooperator training/monitoring
- Supervise field planting and subsequent crop performance
- Maintain close communication with cooperators to ensure high quality trials
- Data collection and manipulation.
- Propose hybrids to be advanced.
3. Responsible for agronomy study of commercial hybrid and pipeline
• Understand interaction relationship between all aspect of factors affecting variety performance
• Be able to develop testing program to determine this relationship for particular corn varieties.
4. Seeking opportunities to bring values of traits (transgenic products) to farmers
• Conduct trait (insect and herbicide resistant traits etc.) value assessment by trails or survey
• Help market team to develop business strategy to deliver the values of these traits to customers.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND COMPETENCIES:

1. Education: Master degree or above, majored in plant protection or agricultural biotechnology.
2. Individual Competency required:
- Result orientated. Strong intellect and proven ability to get things done; committed to frequently traveling and willing to spend time in field.
- Courage, straight forward, and good team player.
- Well organized; productive; initiate; quick learning
- Strong Communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Good computer skills; good oral English
- Good agronomic knowledge
- Good research and development proficiency
