GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

The Customer Support Engineer (CSE) is responsible for verifying the quality of Compris application products before delivery to our customers. The Customer Support Engineer will certify all changes and modifications caused by resolution of defects.

Each Customer Support Engineer will have one or more customer account assigned to them. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for working directly with their assigned customer(s) to receive reports of new defects, recreate those defects, and properly report them into the development organization. When such defects are resolved, the Customer Support will retest the resolved defect to ensure that it was fixed correctly and deliver such release back to our customers. The Customer Support Engineer will be responsible for participating in a weekly defect status call where they will be responsible for providing current statuses of all open issues.



Position Roles and Responsibilities
• Certify all customer specific software changes before delivery to a customer or being released.
• Work directly with Compris customers to receive new defects, recreate the reported defects, manage open defect logs, and retest after resolution.
• Work closely with developers to assist in the understanding and resolution of defects, and to obtain detailed knowledge of new functionality.
• Work closely with development to validate functional requirements to ensure completeness and consistency across products, viability, and usability.
• Create and provide documentation of high level installations requirements, and other information in a customer ready format when providing new functionality.
• Travel may be required.
Position Requirements:

Technical Skills
• BSCS or equivalent work experience
• Deep working experience with Windows Operating systems
• Deep Compris application product knowledge
• Software problem duplication and testing experience
• SQL knowledge
• Hardware experience a plus
• Software development experience a plus
• Restaurant or Retail experience a plus
Interpersonal Skills
• Excellent Customer interaction skills
• Self Motivated and a Sense of Urgency
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Cooperative and Enthusiastic towards working with a team.
• Good listening and diplomacy skills
• Strong commitment to quality.
Functional Skills
• Ability to provide work estimates and meet commitments without sacrificing quality.
