ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Primarily responsible for leading all China indirect sourcing activities.
* Work closely with HQ indirect sourcing function to identify and grow China supply base including RFQ tracking, project clarification, and price negotiation.
* Responsible for successful implementation and execution of IT services projects sent to China suppliers.
* Work closely with China based suppliers to develop capability and deliver high quality product on
-time to HQ schedule.
* Provide support and coordination of all indirect sourcing activities associated with GE Energy manufacturing affiliates and joint ventures.
* In addition, this individual will be responsible for other indirect sourcing activities related to all GE Energy businesses.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
* Prior experience in direct/indirect sourcing
* Global mindsetability to work with different cultures.
* Knowledge of GE Energy business and sourcing process.
* Ability to influence and gain commitment at all levels of the organization.
* Strong working knowledge of Six Sigma and process management.
* Ability to function effectively in a matrix organizational environment.
* Strong facilitation, oral and written communications skills.
* GB Certification (GE Employee only).DESIRED:
* Prior experience in working with GE Energy Global Supply Chain and/or Global Sourcing organization.
* Knowledge of GE Energy IT services
* Certified Black Belt.GENERAL DESCRIPTION:Some domestic travel required inside China.
