ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Seamless communicate between China suppliers and global steam turbine technology in US;
* Accurately interpret Bill of Material (BOM), drawing requirements and specifications to suppliers;
* Provide technical support to suppliers and sourcing team on daily basis; propose solutions for manufacturing deviations;
* Disposition Supplier Deviation Request (SDR) timely with support from global steam turbine technology and material technology teams;
* Work closely with sourcing quality engineer for quality improvement and to lead root cause analysis (RCA);
* Organize and lead producibility review and design improvement;
* Work closely with suppliers to initiate DMP opportunities;QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering or above;
* Shopfloor experience in large fabrication and/or mechanical machining;
* Ability to interpret Bill of Material, blueprint and process specifications;
* Prior steam turbine or turbo machinery component design experience;
* Proven technical ability in mechanical engineering;
* Effective multitasking and ability to deliver on time and with quality;
* Fluent in oral and written English; good computer skills;
* Strong communication skills with cross
-functional and global teams;
* Passion for performance excellence, commitment to integrity;
