ESSENTIAL FUNCTION / RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Responsible for applied superconducting (especially MRI magnet) system engineering including cryogenic design, electromagnetic analysis and system integration;
*Responsible for super
-con magnet hardware and components design and prototyping, these components including: main magnet, cryostats, gradient coil or RF coil;
*Perform the component tests such as cryogenic test and super
-conductor performance measurements;
*Coordinate and communicate with the global team to execute project efficiently;
*Track and initiate new technologies, concepts and proposals for next generation product design.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS:
*Majored in mechanical or electrical engineering or relevant, MS or PhD degree;
*Capability and experience of cryogenics engineering or superconductivity;
*Capability of mechanical design and analysis tools, such as IDEAS, UG, Pro/Engineering and Solid works;
*Experience in design and analysis on structural and thermal problems, familiar with Finite Element Method and analysis tools;
*Strong communication skills and a good team player;
*An innovative player in the relevant field to provide creative/effective solution;
*Fluent in written and oral English.DESIRED:
*Electrical engineering background and experience of electrical design is a plus.
*Familiar with design for quality and manufacturability, and statistical design methodology.
