Key elements, duties and responsibilities:
-Evaluate, establish and develop reliable suppliers for quality, service, price and local content requirements.
-Administer corporate and departmental procedures.
-Maintain effective relations with peers, colleagues and management.
-Implement SPDP process.
-Coordinate resolution of supplier quality problems.
-Perform Potential Supplier Assessments.
-Serve as the primary liaison between manufacturing and the supplier.
-Maintain required documentation and files.
-Develop and coordinate joint venture/ supplier training in DGP procedures and requirements.

Major Job Qualifications / experience/Education (Required/preferred):
-Bachelor degree with a major in engineering or equivalent. Desirable course work would include probability and / or statistics
-Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing , quality or engineering
-Proficient in print reading and interpretation and part measurement
-Demonstrated knowledge of geometric design and tolerance and gage design and function
-Demonstrated knowledge of probability, statistical quality control and design of experiments
-Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing and assembly plant processes, procedures, facilities and equipment
-QS 9000 knowledge
-Proficient oral & written English skills
-Knowledge of corporate and division supplier quality standards, policies and procedures
-Demonstrated ability to investigate quality problems and to apply sound technical judgment to develop possible solutions
