Job Description
FlexTools I/O modules are multithreaded COM components, and are written using ATL and C/C++. FlexTools upper level components are written in visual basic 6.0. Some minor extensions to the tool use XML and SOAP.

* Research and develop of code enhancements, understands customer goals, identifies consequences of various solutions
* Issue and defect verification, tracking, and resolution.
* Maintenance of FlexTool source code, performing code branching and code builds.
* Regression testing
* Handle customer problems promptly and appropriately.
* Provide customers with overview of installation activity, update on break/fix timeline
* Maintaining FlexTool websites, creating and delivering FlexTool Newsletter, training and user documentation.


Job Requirements & Skills Required
The individual should have solid, verifiable experience in developing Microsoft Windows based software in a corporate environment. Necessary skills and knowledge of the following

§ Microsoft Windows platform programming and debugging skills
§ Microsoft C/C++, Visual Basic 6.0, Microsoft ActiveX/COM and ATL are must programming skills.
§ Knowledge in Microsoft Windows SDK
§ , C#.NET, XML and SOAP skills are nice to have.
§ Experience in implementing device driver design, device protocols, managing memory, and performance tuning Microsoft Windows OS applications.

§ Ability to research incorporate uniquely differing technologies and implement new features using the new technology

§ Ability to anticipate system level impact of software
§ Familiarity with build tools and SCM tools
§ Experienced in developing and debugging multi threaded applications
§ Ability to work with a wide variety of users and varying teams across HP organization
§ Flexible
§ Strong ability to estimate development time
§ Familiarity with user interface design and objectives
§ Ability to architect FlexTool application wide solutions
