OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The position will provide deployment, support and removal of infrastructure services and architecture supporting SAP at Deere including working with Division and Site IT teams to implement changes necessary to support SAP.

Additional services include supporting the Cross-Division SAP implementation projects including other components such as Business Warehouse and Advanced Planning and Optimization.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Operational Execution and Coordination for the Global Computing Services and other GSS/IPN support teams
• GSS Security
• Follow standard procedures for Product Development, Order Fulfillment, and Customer Support in relation to the SAP deployments
• Ensure adequate, documented support for all existing and new infrastructure components
• Provide standard operating procedures (SOP) for all existing and new infrastructure components
• Create procedures for the proper “turn over” of new infrastructure from evaluation to support
• Coordinate for equipment and software changes as required to meet capacity needs
• Ensure that the installation and de-installation processes for new hardware and software are well documented and followed.
• Provide documentation for site “coordinators” on basis procedures and implementation
• Serve as production support and/or backup for landscape

QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Excellent analysis, organizational and problem solving skills
• Strong native and English language communication skills both written and verbal
• Willingness to learn new technologies and skills
• Ability to work within a large geographically distributed support organization, including sharing of knowledge and communication of ideas
• Ability to coordinate between teams and projects
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities
• Effective change management and project tracking skills
• Operational experience [either Host-based or distributed]
• Infrastructure experience in one or more of the following areas: hardware, operating system, database, WAN, LAN, security and middleware.
• Support and systems administration of a multi-user client-server environment (Unix, Linux, Windows)
