The Job:This will involve the generation of ideas for innovative drives solutions, the design and testing of prototypes, and validation of production intent drives in conjunction with product teams.Skills Needed / Main Accountabilities:Experience in a design/development engineering role./Previous experience of the development of small drives and/or moulded gears would be an distinct advantage./Experience of design for assembly and parts tolerancing./A good understanding of fundamental physical theories and general engineering principles./A good working knowledge of material properties, manufacturing technologies and processes./Ability to validate designs. Defining and planning testing requirements, proposing test methods and evaluating test results/Ability to define and work to a specification and project timescales./A strong knowledge of 3D CAD including assemblies.
