Welcome To The Asia Poker Academy (APA)

The “work” we are offering is very different than other opportunities out there. You can choose when you work. You can choose how many hours you work...and you don have to leave your current job to do it! How well you do – and how much money you make – depends purely on you.

There are some requirements. You have to speak good English, since many of your training material will be in English. You must live in Beijing. You must be available one weekend each month, for training. And you must have regular access to a computer with internet connection, that you can use whenever you want.

So, what are we offering? We are offering you to learn how to play – and win at – online poker. But before you jump to any conclusions (“This isn’t a real job” or “This isn’t honest” or “This is just gambling”) please take some time to read this introduction, and understand more about this unique opportunity.

It is true that if you don’t really understand poker, and particularly you don’t understand the concepts, odds and statistics in playing poker, then you are just gambling. If so, winning or losing does not depend on skill, it depends on luck. And if that is how you play, we suggest that you should not play at all, because in the long term, you will lose money (to the players who know what they’re doing).

However, it is also true that if you know how to play, if you understand the odds and the specific strategies, then you will consistently make money. In the long run – and one month is already long enough – there won’t be any luck involved in your poker results anymore. Here is why: due to the “law of averages”, over the long term every player will get the same amount of good and bad cards in poker. How much you win or lose then is just the result of your playing skills. There are many people whose entire income comes from playing online poker; and many more who use online poker to supplement their regular income. Top players make hundreds of thousands of dollars every year. Within a very short time – after our coaching and with our help – you will make easily US$ 5-10/hour. And when you become more skilled and experienced, that will increase much more. To give you a realistic prospect: after 6 months you should be able to beat significantly the 5-10$ limit, where you will make an average of about US$ 40 per hour.

But it all depends on you. It will take some time, a lot of energy and discipline, and even more commitment, for you to develop into a really successful poker player. We would suggest that you should play poker a minimum of four hours a day, five days a week, if you really want to learn the game and become a success (although less time is okay…it will just take longer for you to develop your skills). You will also need to study many books, and attend special training sessions to analyze and improve your playing style, and teach you new strategies.

Your coaches are experienced professional poker players, who make a very successful living playing online poker for many years. One is German, one is Chinese. We want to share our experience and expertise to train a small core of hand-selected promising Chinese poker students. We will work with you, side-by-side, provide you with all materials and poker software, teach you all you need to know how to become a shark at the poker tables. We ensure that you get the best coaching possible.

Some of you are also probably thinking, “Are these guys just trying to cheat me?” Well, the answer is NO. And to prove it, we will not ask you to pay any money. In fact, we will pay the money for you to get started. If we accept you to be part of our training group, we will set you up with a new account at the world’s largest online poker room (PartyPoker), and we will give you US $75.00 to get you started. So even if you don’t do well, you will lose nothing. You do not have to pay us any training fee; you will never have to pay any money at all. You have nothing to lose, everything to win!

We will also have a lot of fun together. We will hold “poker camps” on the weekends, where we will both teach you more skills for playing poker, and have fun activities and games with each other. We will also have special competitions and prizes for our best players.
