Job Description Working with the STG lab service team, the individual will be responsible for assisting clients in implementing HA solutions on system z. In this position you will interface directly with the customer, IBM account teams and development. Therefore, you should have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical issues.
Qualifications Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or Electronic Engineer preferred.
IBM Certificates preferred.
Desired Experience Significant experience with System z including: Parallel Sysplex setup and tuning including Coupling Facilities, LPAR setup, GDPS, I/O and DASD configurations is required.
Experience with System z High Availability solutions including disaster recovery and remote operations is also desired.
Previous customer facing experience is also helpful although not required.
Applicant should have a thorough understanding of System z setup and planning for high availability.
