JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Initially contribute as a design and/or process engineer to the department. Involve in designing and/or documenting products; developing concepts and ideas for designs, and producing drawings and documents on Word, Excel, Auto-CAD and Pro-E and other Daktronics document management systems.
2.Development of components and products.
3.Perform testing functions on products.
4.Travel to assist with installations and meet other customer needs.
5.Travel with and technically support sales personnel to procure orders.
6.Work effectively as a team member, work with little supervision, help when and where needed, make and implement suggestions for product and process improvement, communicate effectively with sales, customers and team members.
7.Use good judgment in difficult situations and make good decisions.
8.Consistently complete work in a timely manner.
9.Become knowledgeable of company policies and procedures.
10.Perform other duties as assigned and needed to meet customer expectations.
11.Personal growth and continued increase in contribution.
12.Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.BS Mechanical Engineering (ME degree).
2.Pro-E and/or AutoCAD class graduate or experience required. Pro-E training a plus. Other computer skills essential.
3.Planning and organizational skills.
4.Two plus years post graduate experience preferred. Related experience a plus.
5.Good written and verbal communication skills.
6.Able to work on own and be a self-starter.
7.Able to work on job sites and assist with installations. This may include climbing ladders, working at various heights, carrying equipment and/or either working inside or outside.
