Job Description- Open Source Middleware Software Engineer

Open Source Middleware Software Engineers play lead roles in a multi-discipline team working on new products and solutions. Youll be a part of an exciting team that participate designs, implements, tests, and validates Open Source software, build HP Open Source Middleware Stacks, and contribute technical documentations to HP internal /external users and community. In this position, you will need to engage, possibly, in a totally unfamiliar OSS project, including investigation of projects at the high level, communication with major contributors of OSS projects, and/or studying the code at the low level, etc.

Additionally, as a part of the multi-discipline team, you may be assigned to help team members who have various R&D responsibilities on a need basis. Your flexibility is required. We are looking for staffs who are self-motivated, self-guided, high-quality and enthusiastic about open source software development and its movement.

Qualification
Education
Bachelors (undergraduate) or above technical discipline (e.g. computer science, information technology, engineering, math, physics, etc.)

Experience required (MUST):
. Have practical experience in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
. One or more years of QA related experience. Deeply understand the QA process.
. Linux and middleware stack related experience

Knowledge required (MUST):
. Knowledge of software engineering in software development
. Knowledge of J2EE middleware, database, security, directory service.
. Fluent both in written English and in spoken English, brilliant in writing and revising professional technical documents,

Knowledge (Would-like-to-have):
. Knowledge of Java, scripting and other programming languages
. Knowledge of n-tier application environment
