Tasks Required from intern:
Scanning large number of hard copy maps into soft copy format
Organising soft copy maps in Excel and making link to master map
Keeping record in Excel of map numbers and associated area.
Skills needed:
Experience and good ability using Excel
Good map reading ability
Attention to detail
Ability to work efficiently doing a repetitive task
Knowledge of government definitions of cities and districts (i.e. China geography)
Other Details:
Approx. 60 hours work, suggest two people 30 hours each (working together)
Dates: Start August 3 – finish August 15
Location: Nielsen Shanghai office
RMB70/day
Notes:
Likely to have the same work again 2/3 months later.
Experience from this task would make the person a good candidate for Retail Fieldwork or MSU departments later (the latter if the also have a Statistics background).
