OFFICE ASSISTANT
Responsible for supporting the management and software development staff, and providing liaison with clients and service providers. Reports to the General Manager and Director of Technology.
Education and Experience Requirements
Education: College Diploma. Business education preferred.
Experience: Minimum 6 months in office environment.
Qualifications
Very good English language skills (both written and verbal).
Ability to relate well to the others, in person and on the telephone.
Diplomatic, tactful, creative, discreet, flexible, resourceful, dependable, well-organized, friendly, emotionally mature and professional.
Able to work effectively with multiple supervisors, balance and prioritize multiple requests.
Capable and practiced in handling complex and/or multi-faceted tasks.
Effective office (clerical / secretarial), time management, and organizational skills.
Computer-literate. Well-versed with Windows, word processing (preferably MS Word), and spreadsheets (pref. Excel).
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Answer telephones, take messages, respond to inquiries, give directions to facility.
Provide comprehensive secretarial and clerical support to management.
Insure facility remains adequately stocked with various supplies used in the course of daily operations.
Assist with bookkeeping, payroll, A/R and A/P processing where appropriate.
Greet visitors, conduct facility tours as needed for new hires or visiting personnel, provide basic information to visitors, callers.
Pre-screen job applicants.
Place maintenance requests with facility management and follow-up to insure their timely fulfillment.
Assist in opening and/or closing of the facility at the beginning and/or ending of each day as needed.
Other tasks as requested.
