Summary Description:
The Position of a Supplier Management Engineer within Supply Line Management is a multi-functional role.
Operating within a commodity team the engineer plays a leading role in creating a successful Sourcing Strategy to support Quality product through continuity of supply, including developing the localisation of the Supply Base.
Education and Experience Requirements:
-University graduate or equivalent degree, major in Mechanical engineering, Electronic & Electricity, or Commerce are preferred
-At least 2 year of Purchasing experience in Foreign Enterprises and familiaritywith the process of purchasing & budget controlling required.
-Supplier Auditing experience specifically related to localisation is preferred.
-Good negotiation & communication skill are essential
-Familiar with MRP or similar Manufacturing Management Software System
-Excellent PC application knowledge in Microsoft Word, PPT, Excel and internet
-Good command of English
-Strong Team spirit... must be honest & reliable associate.
-Key Areas of Responsibility:
-Define effective Product sourcing plans to suit Commodity Strategy, and interface with other SLM Commodity teams.
-Select, Audit and Approve/Develop Suppliers, including Quality Planning.
-Resolve Quality issues and ensure that the correct Closed Loop Corrective Action is implemented.
-Develop Test/Inspection parameters and specify appropriate Test/Measurement equipment and methods.
-Provide Technical assistance to Manufacturing/Engineering/QA , on procured items and modules.
Work Environment:
Must be able to working in a multi-functional Team environment and deal directly with Suppliers.
The Supplier Management Engineer should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good planning capability and be able to operate on own initiative and with minimum supervision.
