We are now looking for a position for support operational service oceanfreight.The job will base in Shanghai.
The Job:
To carry out daily operations tasks efficiently and work within area guidelines and Company’s policies and procedures.
• Consolidation – booking with carriers / booking with OSC-FCL thru seawarder, Issue loading plan, Pre-advices onboard confirmation, shipping documents invoices, issue payment order, prepare on-hand report
• Deconsolidation - follow-up of arrival notices with carriers, devanning report from warehouse, document process and inform customer services and document processing departments on shipment status
• Liaise with carriers, subcontractors, warehouses on trucking arrangement
• Update and inform supervisors of forecasted warehouse space and resources requirement for capacity planning / capacity management and resources allocation with carriers; instruct warehouse on space requirement
• Update supervisors on standard of carriers and subcontractors, warehouse and shipment / production forecast
• Inform supervisors of any irregularities and claims or problems that require assistance
• Feedback pre-claim details and status to carriers, subcontractors, and warehouse
• Incident management – handle customers, carriers, subcontractors, warehouses’ inquiries, complaints
• credit terms and credit status, and coordinate with departments concerned on related issues
• Carry out approved proposed improvement / changes on procedures and system made by supervisors
• To take up additional tasks as assigned
• Back up for other team members when necessary
The Person:
• Experience in logistic/forwarding industry
• Consolidation and deconsolidation knowledge
• Equipments knowledge
• Knowledge of local and overseas custom and regulations
• Basic geography knowledge
• Good PC skills and accurate typing
• Good written and spoken English, Good command of Mandarin
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive, resourceful, responsible, independent, and assertive
• Good organizational skills
