Data Analyst – Job Description


Deliverables:
• Respond to data requests for changes to central database systems
• Import; export; manipulate and transform data as required from specifications
• Design; create; and modify database objects as required from specifications
• Identify, collect, analyze, and interpret data for business and financial analysis
• Design, create and test business and functional specification reports for data collection, analyses and feedback to management
• General financial analysis

Scope:
• CRM and Financial database(s) supporting global support organization
• Multiple clients in multiple time zones requesting database work or reports.
• Multiple database objects: e.g. Account management; Service Requests; Financial; Asset Inventory; Human Resource profiling.


Experience & Skills:

Business skills:
• Demonstrated analytical, financial and quantitative skills.
• Familiar with database analysis; modeling; scorecards; and KPI metrics.
• Ability to work with sensitive data (non-disclosure).

Database skills:
• Database analyses and query experience.
• Database structure experience: Keys; Indexes; Joins.
• Relational Database normalization design experience.
• MS SQL Server required.
• MS SQL Server Reporting Services highly desirable.
• Customer Relationship Management database experience highly desirable.
• MS Dynamics CRM and/or Siebel knowledge desirable.
• MSAccess desirable.

Technical skills:
• MS Excel pivot tables required.
• Sharepoint experience highly desirable.
• MSProject desirable.

Qualifications & Education:
• 3+ years proven analytical and business experience.
• Ability to manage multiple and competing tasks/priorities with delivery deadlines in fast paced environment.
• Candidates must have the ability to access data, utilize analysis skills to trend and interpret information, and communicate meaningful information effectively.
• Candidates must be detail oriented and self motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and suggest solutions to ambiguous problems.
• Solid written, verbal and analytical communication skills are required. Proficiency in English required. Must be able to understand technical documentation in English. Additional languages desirable.
