Job description :

- The requested person will have to work in collaboration with other member of TNP Engineering team. He will have to use selected and already deployed development methodologies /tools.

- Developments are made on LINUX/RTAI (with an abstraction layer guaranteeing an OS independent development).

- Some development tools are used within TNP team to ease team work: software configuration management (using CVS), bug tracking, documentation management, project follow up.

- Under a team leader responsibility, the selected engineer will have to specify, develop, unitary test, contribute to SW modules integration.


Required profile :

This job is a Software Engineer job for embedded application written in C++/C.
* Capacity to specify and develop an object oriented application.
* Java GUI development experience
* HTML knowledge is mandatory
* XML/XSL knowledge is a key advantage
* Good experience in real time embedded SW. Good knowledge of associated constraints
* English mastering is required (project documentation is written in English).
* Basic knowledge of MPEG-2/MPEG-4/DVB is a plus
* Knowledge on embedded data Base management
* Basic knowledge of MPEG2 system and DVB standards is a plus.
* Knowledge of LINUX & Windows environment is a plus.
* Knowledge and experiences of UML is a plus.
* Basic knowledge of DVB-H is a plus.

And more generally:
* Good command of Written and Oral English.
* Capacity to work inside a team with a good autonomy in its own work.
* Capacity to analyze specification, detect and analyze issues, identify solutions.
* Capacity to adapt existing SW modules.
* Be open, curious on new technologies
* Capacity to provide his management with accurate indicators (cost, delays, …)
* Contribute in the definition, use and provide feedback on quality processes for SW development.
