In Build & Integration Engineer role, you need to work closely with several development teams and periodly collect their SW deliveries. In each cycle after all the pieces of deliveries have been collected, you need to integrate and verify all of them following Nokia build and integration processes. This means in many cases you need to manage the software version control tool, to compile the whole affected software assets as well as to run the BAT testing cases whenever before you push the releases to global code base.
From the organization perspective, you will be part of the Nokia global configuration management team and additionally one key part of your everyday work is to always learn and follow up the changes and evolution of the S60 global build and integration tools and processes, and to deploy the latest progress of them always to the development teams here.
The perfect candidate of this job must be able to handle many software pieces delivered by different development teams with a sharp mind and to integrate and build the software deliveries efficiently enough.
Requirements
- You shall carry a BS or MS degree in the computer science or relevant area
- You have at least a 2-year experience using C++ as your main development tool for commercial software development and have rich and solid knowledge towards C++
- You shall have rich knowledge on version control tools and systems like the Synergy,
WinCVS etc.
- You shall have the basic understanding of the software testing processes and defect management practices
- The understanding of the script languages like Perl, Python etc. is a good plus
- The understanding of the Linux operating system is a good plus
- Good oral and written English is a must
