Group activities

Italian vertically integrated group of textile manufacturing companies complies with Yarn, textile, garment and retail sectors. Private owned company business established in 1947 has expanded on both domestic and international markets.

Turnover for 2006 reached 1 billion Euros; 75% of the revenue is made in Italy; the remaining in Eastern Europe, Russia, Middle- East and China. The company aims to increase revenues internationally.

Divisions

- Textile division: since 1947 (research, creation and production): wool, sublitex (transfer paper), grey fabrics (3 plants), printed fabrics (4 plants) and plain fabrics (2 plants)

- Yarn division: established in 1981; 6 factories in Switzerland, Italy, Tunisia and Bulgaria; Huge investment in the division.

- Garment: 18 medium to high end ladies’ wear brand. Motivi and Elena Miro are the leading brands.

·        Motivi targets young ladies from 20-30 years old; 100 retail shops in Italy after 10 years of operation.

·        Elena Miro is classic style and big size and has no JV yet in China.

The Group in China

Has already established joint ventures in China and plans to strongly develop fabric and garment factories as well as retail shops through joint ventures with different brands, different market positioning and various locations.

·   Elegant Prosper, owns 50% shares with 9 millions euros. Current revenue has reached 400 millions RMB. 300 corners/shops in China.

·   Trading company in Jiaxin (near Suzhou): 60 persons, Italian GM.

·   Motivi: fully owned, 5 persons, Shanghai and Italian GM; Motivi brand has currently 4 retail shops in Shanghai and 1 in Hangzhou. Motivi brand should reach 30 shops within three years.

·   Textile factory in Jiaxin: JV 50/50; Chinese GM
