As the latest research institute of SAP Labs China, SAP Global Service Center (Chendu) was founded in March 2006 in Chengdu. Geographically well-positioned, SAP Global Service Center (Chengdu) draws upon local talent in Chengdu and Western China. Located at Tianfu Software Park in chengdu's hi-tech zone, SAP Global Service Center (Chengdu) is approximately 10 kilometers away from the downtown area.

Chengdu's excellent infrastructure allows SAP Global Service Center (Chengdu) to provide productized service globally to small and mid-sized enterprise customers, global partners and SAP internally. In July 2006, SAP Global Service Center (Chengdu) was officially appointed as the first global service center outside of Germany.
