Position: Product Architect



Job Description:

We are looking for motivated software architects. Your responsibilities will cover product specification, system architecture design, and functional description. You will participate in software architecture design. You are the key person in solving complex software problems; analyze software performance and product performance. Sometimes you will participate in module design and implementation.

You will co-operate closely with whole Chengdu software architects team, product development team and verification team to ensure software quality and to make the product development work more effective. You will work in projects, when needed, as part of Chengdu R&D team using modern agile and iterative software development processes.

The main responsibilities are listed below. Based on your expertise and skills the content and responsibilities of your job will be tailored for the best fit for both you and our company.

· To understand deeply telecommunications new technology trends, 3G, messaging service

· To be an expert in one of these technical domain, (SIP server, SMSC, MMSC, WAP, HA )

· Write technical and architecture specifications for product features

· Work closely with project manager and development team to make sure that the implementation meets the architecture design requirements

· Analyze deeply from technical point of view the gap between our product and the market need, define architecture for extensions together with product manager and system architecture team.

· Solve complex software problems, analyze software performance and product performance

· Review product documentation

· Provide input to system verification team and test case planning



Requirements:

· More than 5 years of commercial software development experience and experience in telecommunications domain at least 1-2 years as architect

· Experience with Linux or other UNIX-like operating system

· Deep understanding of OO and design patterns

· Experienced C++/C or Java/J2EE programmer

· Knowledge of SS7, MAP, SIGTRAN, WAP, SMTP, Corba, TCP/IP

· Knowledge of GSM/GPRS and 3G network

· Knowledge of SIP and RTP protocols

· Experience with agile and iterative development such as Scrum, XP is a plus

· Knowledge of ACE/TAO is a plus

· Knowledge of HA, load balancing and SAN is a plus

· Experience with SMSC, MMSC, WAP gateway is a plus
