Carrier China Overview

Carrier Corporation is the world’s largest provider of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions, with operations in 172 countries.

Since Dr. Willis Carrier invented the world’s first scientific air conditioning system in 1902, Carrier has always stayed at the forefront of the air-conditioning industry for more than 100 years. Regarded as the leader and expert in air conditioning, Carrier has 18 R&D centers worldwide with several thousand patents in the air-conditioning industry. Carrier’s products are manufactured in 73 facilities on six continents with 45,000 employees around the world. In 2006,Carrier’s sales were beyond US$10 billion, leading the Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning and Refrigeration(HVACR)industry.

With nearly two decades of experience in China, Carrier is an undisputed leader in the central air-conditioning markets. In April 2005, Carrier held a groundbreaking ceremony for its global research and development (R&D) center in Shanghai’s Pudong area. Carrier has projected that it intends to spend an additional US$50 million in China during the next few years on R&D, including this center.

Carrier is part of United Technologies Corporation (UTC), a supplier of a broad range of high-technology products and support services to the aerospace and building systems industries. Job Summary
The Program is targeting at high caliber undergraduate or graduate students. The total duration of the program is 24 month with different function rotation experience and at least one specific project implementation experience. When the program is finished, the trainee will be appointed a specific position based on his or her performance and the company needs.

Major Responsibilities
The Program is made up of 3 different developing phases. Regular performance evaluations from mentors, customers and trainees themselves are during the whole program. All the Management Trainees are expected to pass each phase successfully with their own effort and the help of their mentors.

  • Education Background
    High caliber undergraduate or graduate students in HVAC, Mechanics, Electrics, Automation or related majors
