System Engineer

Job Description

Ø       Work with customers to define technical requirements (system configuration, ECU requirements, Control Requirements) for the application of Engine Management Systems (EMS) to customer vehicles

Ø       Capture systems requirements and Develop and maintain Systems requirement Documents (SRD) and Circuit Interface Requirement documents (CIR) for Engine Management System

Ø       Develop and Manage workplan with customers to meet program deliverables

Ø       Manage development of Engine Control Units (ECU) with ECU design engineers to meet customers performance, cost, quality and delivery requirements

Ø       Coordinate delivery of prototypes

Ø       Develop and release required customer drawings and specifications

Ø       Maintain open issues list with customer and lead development of action plans with customer and component design engineers to close all open issues

Ø       Lead development of  system level Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)

Ø       Support key life test requirements for EMS systems and the ECU

Ø       Lead packaging of ECU onto applications to meet performance, environmental, EMC, durability and vibration requirements

Ø       Identify wiring requirements for EMS components and develop wiring connection diagrams

Ø       Lead system Technical Design Reviews (TDR)

Ø       Lead integration of  EMS hardware onto development engines and vehicles

Ø       Design and conduct system validation tests (emissions, performance, EMC and durability), prepare system verification plans and reports

Ø       Provide Engine Management System acceptance criteria for engine and vehicle level testing and service diagnostics

Ø       Assist Customer in development of production process, acceptance criteria and test software related to the Engine Management system for the OEMs engine plants and vehicle assembly plants

Ø       Support development and validation of required service procedures and service tools

Ø       Support Customers production launches

Ø       Lead Vehicle level issue resolution, including pre-production prototype, B&A plant, and launch support

Ø       System change control management
