News & Events Sapphire 07 and Duet
Inventec Services was pleased to participate in SAPPHIRE 07 that was
held on April 22-25, 2007 in Atlanta, GA. Since Q3 of 2006, SAP and
Inventec have partnered to jointly develop an appliance platform to
facilitate installation, configuration and delivery of Duet, a joint software
product between SAP and Microsoft. With the support from HP and
Microsoft, the team was able to answer the calls from customers to deliver
an appliance solution dubbed "Duet by SAP and Microsoft, powered by
HP." This Duet appliance greatly simplifies the configuration and
integration of Duet, lowers its total cost of ownership, and shortens the
time-to-value for customers. Utilizing the capability of HP hardware
platform, SAP Duet Appliance allows users to preview a fully functional
Duet with few configuration tasks. Instead of manually configuring
corporate network and Windows environment to work with Duet, customers
can, with few steps, configure Duet to work with the corporate IT
environment.
