Position Title: University Relations (UR) Specialist
Working location: Based in Beijing with travels to universities in China

Primary Responsibilities:
Join the Microsoft Research Asia University Relations team and make an impact on the future computer scientists and engineers. As a University Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for
" Cultivating long-term in-depth partnerships with deans, faculties and students at the leading university departments in the fields related to software engineering in China.
" Organizing and supporting UR events, campus visits and campus recruiting.
" Working with the universities to integrate MS platforms, tools and technologies into their curriculum to significantly change their 1) perception of Microsoft & Microsofts tools and technologies, 2) utilization of MS technologies in curriculum and software development , and 3) view of Microsoft as a leading technology partner in the future of education.
" Identifying opportunities for joint collaboration between faculty in field of software engineering and experts of Microsoft China R&D Group (MS CRD)

Qualifications:
The position requires
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills.
- Passion on communication with student and event organization.
- Ability to plan strategically and create win/win situations which will benefit both academic partners and Microsoft.
- Ability to work independently, effectiveness in achieving results through individual and cross team efforts, demonstrated ability to identify strategic opportunities and provide appropriate solutions.
- Good knowledge of MS products and technologies
- Strong presentation, project management and business/development skills are essential.
- Excellent written and verbal English and Chinese communication skills required.
- A BA/BS or Master degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MIS, Business or related discipline is required;
- Travel required.
