Market Analyst Intern

We are currently seeking 2ed and 3rd year students to join our project team as Interns to assist with conducting primary marketing research projects in China.  Our office is currently located in the Xuhui district of Shanghai.

An Intern at Ducker Worldwide participates in the whole process of business information gathering and report preparation. Specific skills that are developed include conducting professional interviews, business communication skills, information analysis and business report writing.  Each Intern is an integral part of the research team.  Specifically, Interns will typically have the following job responsibilities: 

1. Conduct fieldwork
• Telephone interviewing, structured and unstructured, with existing contacts/lists of business professionals
• Secondary information searches
• Assist in composing and pre-testing interview outlines

2. Analysis
• Application of basic statistics
• Basic use of spreadsheets (Excel)
• Interpretation and analysis of quantitative data
• Summarization of qualitative interviews

3. Report writing
• Summarizing fieldwork and apply to project objectives
• Assist senior analysts and project managers in preparation of reports/presentations
• Develop business/report writing skills

Profile Requirements
• Candidate for Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably majoring in Marketing, Economics, Statistics or Engineering (3rd, 4th year students), or MBA degree candidate
• Native Mandarin speaker, fluent in English, additional languages welcome
• Natural curiosity & strong analytical skills, interest in industrial markets, strong willingness and ability to learn
• Openness and comfort with the use of telephone as a key information-gathering tool

Availability: Immediate---please specify your availability (both starting time and available days per week) in your resume
Duration: Approximately 2- 6 months. At the end of internship, a Market Analyst position could be considered for students with good performance.
