POSITION TITLE: Mechanical Engineer
POSITION HOLDER: CS Facility Manager
LOCATION: Pudong
1. POSITION SUMMARY:
The purpose of the position is to be in charge of facility mechanical system in terms of reliability, quality, efficiency and provide engineering solutions of problem solving in order to ensure the organization achieves the highest level of its business goal. Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.
2. RESPONSIBILITIES: (inclusive but not limited to the following)
Develop and maintain standard operation procedures for mechanical equip/systems
Timely conduct quality system audit for mechanical system
Lead team continuously improve mechanical system quality, reliability, efficiency, operating/maintenance cost management
Forecast mechanical system related cost forecast, inclusive operating/ maintenance/spare part cost, and control expending within budget
Provide support to BB (base built) & TI (tool installation) design of mechanical system in order to make sure design meet Intel standard
Provide engineering solutions for incident related to mechanical system and proactively prevent issues from happening
Lead benchmarking activities with partners within and outside Intel
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
To ensure adequate IIF mechanism built in mechanical process & procedures in order to create IIF working environment
To ensure mechanical system meet ITP target
To ensure budget forecast accuracy and control cost within approved budget, and ensure competitiveness of mechanical system
To ensure mechanical system meet Intel quality standard
To ensure mechanical system robustness
To ensure equip/system efficiency meet improvement target
4. Expectation to this position:
Technical/Functional Knowledge: Demonstrates use of engineering principles, theories and concepts in a specific discipline, while having an understanding of other related disciplines. Use functional knowledge in applying value engineering techniques.
Project Leadership: May be designated as project leader to provide solutions to projects limited in scope requiring practical application of engineering concepts. In project team environment, demonstrates the understanding and ability to work within an engineering team concept.
Problem Identification/Solution: Identifies solutions to routine design/operational problems by applying basic engineering techniques.
Supervision Required Skills: Works with others in developing solutions; requires moderate direction/supervision, periodically assists in providing training and direction to engineers with less experience.
Decision Making Capability/Impact: Capable of recognizing problems and making sound technical decisions in the field on basic, routine engineering projects. Understands the impact of those decisions on the project safety, schedule, budget and overall effectiveness.
Analytical: May work under the direction of a more senior engineer learning how to perform diagnostic/troubleshooting techniques to solve more complex operational/system problems or develop alternative solutions in a timely manner

Work closely with: Mechanical Sustaining technicians; Outsourcing Management team; AMAP; Manufacture; EHS
