Microsoft BJ Intern Recruitment

Microsoft CSD (connected system division) is looking for some outstanding st
udents to work as interns in its Beijing team, postgraduate year two student
s and senior students with admission to graduate schools with flexible worki
ng hours are preferred. Please see below for detail.

Position 1: Software Development Engineer (SDE)

Responsibility:

This internship is where the fun begins for code gurus like you. As a hands-
on Software Development Engineer intern, youll learn how to make decisions
about design and feature implementation, using your mastery of technical too
ls to help make a product vision a reality. If you would like to write code
and design efficient data structures and algorithms to develop next-generati
on applications or operating systems, listen up. This internship shows you h
ow SDEs bring products to life by working with Program Managers to ensure st
rong design and Software Design Engineers in Test to ensure quality through
testing. Ultimately for the SDE, its your code that turns concepts into new
technologies and services.

Requirements:

-Fluency in C/C++/C# and a passion for writing quality code using computer s
cience fundamentals

-Ability to derive creative and innovative solutions by thinking"outside th
e box"

-Ability to solve complex problems, sometimes by testing and debugging code

-Expertise in feature definition, design, and feasibility

-Demonstrated skill in estimating development time

Position 2: Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

Responsibility:

As an intern Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), youll own it, br
eak it, fix it, and own it again. Youll ensure a products quality by makin
g sure it performs as users expect it to. Part of the fun is how creative yo
u can be devising ways to manipulate, crush, and sabotage software into subm
ission-while creating innovative testing technologies along the way.

Ultimately, as an SDET intern its your input that can help make the differe
nce between joy and frustration for the customers. Since you e keen on how
things work, and making them work better, youll work hand in hand with the
Program Managers and Software Design Engineers to design, develop, and maint
ain automation systems for use in development and testing cycles. Using the
tools you create, youll help pour over source code for trouble spots, debug
ging and isolating problems, and executing creative tests to find new bugs w
hile regression testing recent fixes.

Requirements:

-Fluency in C/C++/C#/ and experience designing and developing tool arc
hitecture

-Ability to solve complex problems and write automation systems and device d
rivers

-Ability to author test plans and cases, conduct security and stress tests,
and debug at source level after identifying, investigating, and prioritizing
bugs

-Demonstrated skills in negotiation and conflict management

-Demonstrated interest in customer advocacy derived from a holistic understa
nding of the product from the code level to delivery

Position 3: Program Manager (PM)

Responsibility:

As a Program Manager intern, youll get to help drive the technical vision,
design and implementation of next-generation software solutions. Youll tran
sform the product vision into elegant designs that will ultimately turn into
products used by Microsoft customers. The PM intern helps manage feature se
ts throughout the product lifecycle, and youll have the chance to see your
design through to completion. Youll also work directly with other key team
members including Software Design Engineers and Software Design Engineers in
Test. Program Managers are advocates for end-users, so your passion for ant
icipating customer needs and creating outside-the-box solutions for them wil
l really help you shine in this role.

Requirements:

-Strong technical prowess, including understanding of algorithms, systems ar
chitecture, and end-user experience

-Ability to lead within a products life cycle using evangelism, empathy, an
d negotiation to define and deliver results

-Ability to author technical specifications, including envisaged usage cases
, customer scenarios, and prioritized requirements lists

-Familiarity with managing complex project schedules, solving complex proble
ms, and nurturing cross-group collaboration
