TDC Systems Limited is an ISO9001:2000 certified leading designer and manufacturer of traffic data collection, traffic monitoring and weigh-in-motion systems. Its products have been built to meet the exact needs of the customer in over 40 different countries. In the UK, TDCs key customers are the UK Department for Transport (DfT), UK Local Authorities and the Scottish Executive.
We are looking to recruit a system and software development engineer as a KTP Associate under the governments Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) scheme in conjunction with the University of Surrey. The KTP project has the aim of developing an internet based solution for transferring traffic data from the roadside to the customer, which enhances TDCs two core products.
This post will be mainly based at TDC systems (Weston Super Mare) and provides the self-motivated candidate opportunities of being involved in the companys new product development, overseas travelling and working outside of the UK with customers with cultural differences in respect to business and marketing.
The Associate will be initially working on a 1 year project with opportunity to be promoted to a senior and permanent post in R&D at TDC Systems.
The candidate should be a recent graduate (within last 5 years) and hold at least a 2:1.
