Communication Software Development Engineer


For those who want to work on leading-edge wireless technologies, this is the right job they are looking for. By working with Agilents industry-leading and comprehensive EDA environment, the Agilent Advanced Design System (Agilent ADS), you will have the opportunity to contribute to expand the simulation capabilities of ADS, and to help industrial players move quickly from system concept to implementation, perform top-down design and bottom-up verification.

The successful candidates will be focused on development of wireless communication software, especially simulation tools for up-to date mobile communication systems such as 3GPP/LTE, Mobile WiMax, HSUPA/HSDPA, WLAN/11n and UWB as well as Digital TV (DTV). The specification-compliant design libraries are embedded in ADS, which gives users access to a wide array of analog, DSP and RF design capabilities. The linkage of ADS libraries with Agilent signal source and signal analyzing instruments allow users to implement hardware test with flexible format setting and signal analyzing capabilities. They will need to have the solid knowledge on wireless communications, digtal signal processing and will be working on the development of software library by using C++ to implement the algorithms and instrument connection. They are also expected to work with teams located in other geographic locations and follow the organizations processes when performing the development.


Qualifications
Required:
_ M.S. degree in Communication Engineering or above
_ Strong background in digital signal processing and wireless communcations
_ Good programming ability with C/C++, MatLab
_ Good English skills in both speaking and writing
_ Strong learning ability
_ Good team work spirit

Preferred:
_ Familiarity with the emerging wireless communication standards
_ Knowledge and experience in HDL, VHDL and FPGA implementation
_ Knowledge and experience in object oriented (OO) design and programming
_ Experience of instruments for wireless signal measurements
